This is a fantastic game! It's so funny too. First off, let me say that I loved Grand Theft Auto IV, GTA is such an excellent game but Saint's Row: The Third is so ridiculous that you'll be laughing every five minutes. It is all that GTA is not. There's no way to compare both games, except for the fact they are sandboxes. Nevertheless, they have a few similarities too. Like I said, they are sandboxes, an open world to do whatever you want. Saint's Row gives you more freedom though. You will enjoy every minute with this title because you are free to do anything, ANYTHING. Relax, and enjoy this game because it will remind you why you own an Xbox 360, a PS3 or even a PC: to escape from reality and have fun for a while. Enjoy it!

CJ (Best game I played in years)
Most games I barely play but I played this entire game. It was very enjoyable, graphics are great, character you play is very customizable so you aren't stuck with a character you may not like. The game has good replay value... and at the price I paid it was an excellent deal. Highly recommend this one.

I must begin by saying that I am very surprised by the fact that I have read some reviews from people claiming this installation to be inferior to the second Saints. This is absolutely NOT TRUE. I've been playing video games for quite a long time, and let me tell you, this is the best Saints by a long shot. Much love and toil went into its creation and it shows. For this 3rd outing of the open world, gang-warfare oriented series, the developers wisely joined 2011 and gave the graphics and character movement/animation a noticeable overhaul, which it very much needed (there were parts of Saints Row 2 that looked and moved like PS2 generation). The lighting, geography and general proportions are far more realistic, in addition to wonderful reflective surfaces and more detailed textures. Once again you get to create your own character with a plethora of customization options. I've created both a male and female protagonist, and they fit so well into the game that they seem like they were meant to be. The created character voices are much better, as they are far more likeable and realistic (there is less ghetto-tinged dialogue like in the previous ones). My female is this sexy latina honey that looks absolutely incredible. The characters are comprised of more polygons (and for the females, that does and means a whole lot) and now move with pressure sensitivity (which I love!). The collision detection has also been amped and everything has just been tightened up to the T. Weapons are now upgradeable and the game showers you with rewards, new customization options, abilities, and plenty of new things to do. Overall, the game seems to not be as strongly urban/hip-hop oriented than the previous two outings, which I embrace (I'm more of a rocker type guy). There is a broader appeal with this one, which I feel is a wise move.

There is just way too much to be said about this game and how utterly wonderful, well-executed, and time-consumingly ADDICTIVE it is! I just don't have the time to get into everything, but trust trust me on this one guys: I would happily buy this game three times over for the price you can get it at now. THIS is why videogames are made; escapist, lustful, decadent, mind-numbing entertainment. I love the beautifully over-the-top, creative, satiristic and narcissistic direction of these games, as opposed to say, Rockstar's most recent outings, which, in my opinion, have become far too dully realistic, dour and self-important. Those dudes have just gotten a little too depressing and serious for me. If Saint's Row 4 was released juxtaposed with GTA 5, I'd purchase the former. The guys at Volition and THQ remember what videogames are for and why they are fun.

Buy this game if you can afford hours upon hours of gaming ecstasy and self-indulgent, delightfully over-the-top fun all wrapped up into a little blu ray disc. Have a blast :)
